Grading
Numerical grades are rounded to the units place (e.g. 79.6 = 80). Traditional grading is used:
Range Grade
90 - 100 A
80 - 89 B
70 - 79 C
60 - 69 D
Below 60 F
Incomplete I

Pluses and minuses are used but they have no GPA value (e.g. B-, B, B+ = 3.0)

Incompletes are only given if a teacher agrees. An incomplete will carry no value and is treated as an F for the sake of calculating grade point averages (GPA). The incomplete will stand for two weeks to allow a student to finish the required work. If the work is not completed in that time the grade will be changed--averaging in all work turned in and not turned in.

Promotion requirements are as follows
  1. All students in grades 1-8 must have an overall 1.0 GPA in all subjects averaged over the entire year to be promoted to the next grade.
  2. Middle school students (6-8) must also have a 1.0 GPA in English and math combined averaged over the entire year to be promoted.
  3. The 8th grade graduation ceremony is also only open to students who have at least a 2.0 in Bible in the 8th grade. Students who have a Bible GPA below 2.0 may be promoted but will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
There are other special restrictions and the parent must consult the Parent/Student manual.
